Civil Engineering Draftsperson

Full Job Description As Canberra-based construction company, we offer state-of-the-art residential and commercial building solutions to the territory and surrounding regions. We have been owner-operated for more than 10 years with a highly professional multidisciplinary team that is made up of experienced people. Currently, we are in search of a Civil Engineering Draftsperson who can introduce novel concepts and possess proficient skills in drawings, designs and plans of construction, and offer effective support to the company’s Civil Engineers for the successful completion of various construction projects. Responsibilities of the role include: Comprehend project requirements and engineering conditions, and prepare project drawings at different stages as required in accordance with local laws and regulations on drawing development and technical standards of the industry. Collaborate and communicate with professional civil engineers to produce preliminary renderings and designs by utilizing computer graphic software such as Auto CAD. Amend and elaborate the details of the drawings in accordance with actual situations and changes, complete the review of the drawings and design explanations on time, and submit them to the person accountable for the projects for inspection. Provide support for engineering designs to conduct on-site inspections, record data in the drawings or other reports for further work. Constantly follow up on the subsequent construction progress and be responsible for collecting and archiving relevant significant materials. To be competent in this role, you must have: Diploma degree (or above) in a highly relevant major Minimum 3 years of working experience in similar fields Strong communication and writing skills Exceptional time management skills A pronounced team player mindset A natural attention to detail
