A general civil engineering firm in Roseville, CA is seeking a Civil Engineering Operations Director to join their team. The ideal candidate will have the drive and discipline to monitor, maintain, and enforce existing department policies and procedures, as well as develop new procedures to support contract project requirements. This role requires strong organizational and leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and extensive knowledge of the civil engineering industry.
Salary Range:
$150,000 - $185,000 / year DOE
Civil Engineering Operations Director Requirements:
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
10+ years of experience in civil engineering
Relevant experience that was client-facing
Proven experience at a managerial or supervisory-level position
Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
Outstanding communication and people skills
In-depth knowledge of industry rules and guidelines, diverse department functions and principles
Working knowledge of data analysis and achieving performance/operation metrics
Experience in all aspects of the civil design process related to commercial, public, institutional, and academic site development
Open minded, team-player, and enthusiastic approach
QSD experience
Able to work 100% onsite at their office in Roseville, CA
Civil Engineering Operations Director Responsibilities:
Monitor, maintain, and enforce existing department policies and procedures
Develop new procedures to support contract project requirements
Maintain a professional demeanor in time-critical or resource-challenged scenarios
Communicate designs to drafters/designers and produce documents suitable for construction
Oversee other project engineers and project surveyors
Answer questions for junior and senior PEs
Develop relationships with clients and managers
Collaborate with various team members to ensure project success
