Job Title: Civil Litigation Attorney

INSURANCE DEFENSE, Civil Litigation, AND PUBLIC ENTITY EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED

Law & Motion experience is a huge plus

Location: San Mateo, CA

Salary: up to $185K

• HYBRID work schedule

Our client is an AV-rated, highly respected, civil litigation defense firm is searching for an experienced litigator to join the team. The firm offers seasoned attorneys who litigate both simple and complex matters across the state of California and specialize in public entity and product liability defense work.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice, support, and counsel to clients on various litigation and pre-litigation matters involving public entity clients.
• Experience with lay and expert discovery, motion practice, mediation, arbitration, and trial
• Ability to spot issues, prepare detailed reports, and distill key information
• Desire and ability to handle all aspects of civil litigation from initial intake through trial and appeal
• The right candidate works well with others and independently, has integrity, a strong work ethic

• Qualifications:
• ·Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and a current active license to practice law in the state of California.
• 5+ years of experience in a law firm
• Experience in civil litigation.

• ·Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience in legal drafting and negotiations
