Civil Litigator

Responsibilities:Represent clients in all phases of civil litigation, from initial case assessment to trial and appeal.Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.Analyze case law, statutes, and regulations to develop litigation strategies tailored to client needs.Engage in discovery processes, including depositions, interrogatories, and document production.Negotiate settlements and alternative dispute resolution methods when in the best interest of the client.Present cases before judges, juries, and arbitrators, delivering compelling arguments and evidence.Collaborate with expert witnesses, investigators, and other professionals to build a strong case.Keep clients informed of case developments, providing clear explanations of legal options and outcomes. Qualifications: Practicing member in good standing with The Law Society of Manitoba and proficiency practicing law.5+ years’ experience in civil litigation, with a proven track record of handling relevant case law.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present arguments clearly and persuasively in court.Proven problem-solving, logical, and deductive reasoning abilities.
