Are you a proactive Civil Project Engineer and interested to relocate to Cairns for a lifestyle change of islands, reef and rainforest? An established, reputable civil construction contractor has instructed us to source a Project Engineer for a fantastic long-term career in Cairns, with a view to developing their next Project Manager. We are looking for a driven, energetic, hands-on Civil Project Engineer who has excellent communication and leadership skills. You would have previous experience working on civil construction projects ($5m+) and be looking for a long-term and stable work opportunity. As the Project Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring progress vs budget, performing site inspections, compiling and submitting progress claims, monitoring daily site documentation, coordinating QA across projects, and developing strong relationships with key stakeholders. To be considered for this role you need to satisfy the following minimum criteria: You MUST have previous experience on civil construction projects. You MUST have recent experience with Tier 2/ Tier 3 Civil Contractors. You MUST be prepared to give a minimum 2-year commitment to living in Cairns (not FIFO). You MUST have the right to work in Australia. Salary: Salaries will be commensurate with experience and position level, but indicatively range from $100,000 + Super to $140,000 + Super.
