Position Overview:
A leading organization in the precast concrete industry is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Structural Engineer to join its team. This engineer will be the lead of the team and have the ability to choose new hires to join the team as associate Structural Engineers. The ideal candidate will provide structural and geotechnical expertise to support the design, analysis, and optimization of precast concrete products and systems, while collaborating with various project teams to ensure the success of complex infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Project Support:
-
Collaborate with civil engineers and other stakeholders to incorporate precast concrete solutions into design plans.

Provide technical advice and recommendations throughout the project lifecycle, from planning to construction.

Review shop drawings, design calculations, and construction details prior to submission to the Engineer of Record (EOR).

Structural Design and Analysis:
-
Design and analyze precast concrete components and structures, such as retaining walls, bridge systems, culverts, prestressed beams, substructures, modular buildings, etc.

Use advanced structural analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, Mathcad, STAAD, PLAXIS) for modeling, detailing, and optimization of designs.

Ensure that designs meet relevant codes, standards, and project specifications.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

Stay up to date with advancements in geotechnical and structural engineering technologies.

Identify opportunities to improve design processes, product performance, and overall project efficiency to enhance results.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure that all engineering work adheres to local, state, and federal regulations.

Prepare and review documentation for regulatory approvals and submissions to relevant authorities.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Licensing: Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one within one year.
Experience: At least 3 years of experience in structural and/or geotechnical engineering, with a focus on concrete products or construction projects.
Skills:
