Main Purpose of Role:

Undertake design and engineering work and applies subject matter in-depth knowledge to provide high end technical support. Some independent judgment required in the collection, assembly and preliminary determination of engineering data.

Responsibilities:

Technical:

Design and layout of Civil facilities associated with the gas, oil and water sectors. On sites such as compressor and pump stations, AGIs etc, this will include layout and design of buildings and shelters, roads and drainage infrastructure, tank foundations and containment bunds, and pipeline facilities.

Preparation of calculations by hand or with the use of proprietary and in-house software, design reports and working with CAD designers in the production of Civil drawings.

Preparation of MTOs for individual structures and overall facilities and infrastructure.

Preparation of specifications, reports and presentations, and input to feasibility studies, design basis, etc.

Scope, carry out or manage and supervise surveys of greenfield, brownfield or existing sites.

Draft, in conjunction with specialist engineers, scope of works for geotechnical site investigation contracts, supervise the same and critically review factual and interpretative reports.
