Urgent Hiring: Heavy Civil Superintendent with Mass Grading Experience
Are you an experienced Heavy Civil Superintendent with a strong background in mass grading? We’re urgently seeking a highly skilled leader to oversee the operation of multiple construction sites, ensuring that large-scale grading projects are completed efficiently, safely, and on time.
Starting Salary: $115,000 - $130,000 (Based on Experience)
Location:Nashville,TN

Key Responsibilities:

Mass Grading Expertise: Lead and oversee mass grading operations across multiple sites, ensuring all grading is done to specifications, efficiently, and within project timelines.

Safety First: Be the gatekeeper for safety on all sites, ensuring that all safety rules are strictly adhered to at all times during grading and excavation activities.

Project Scheduling & Coordination: Develop work schedules for mass grading operations and adjust for weather conditions, equipment availability, and personnel.

Resource Management: Delegate responsibilities effectively, ensuring that all resources—equipment, staffing, and materials—are aligned to meet project milestones.

Budget & Quality Control: Maintain strict budget oversight and ensure that grading operations meet quality standards and regulatory compliance.

Problem Solving: Resolve conflicts and onsite challenges quickly, particularly with grading and excavation tasks, to prevent delays and ensure smooth project progress.

Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates on project status, including mass grading progress, to project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For:

Mass Grading Expertise: A minimum of 5 years of experience in mass grading and heavy civil construction, including excavation and grading for large-scale projects.

Proven Leadership: Strong leadership skills with experience in directing grading crews, ensuring productivity, and making quick, informed decisions on-site.

Technical Know-How: In-depth knowledge of grading equipment, heavy civil construction techniques, and industry standards.

Safety Commitment: A relentless focus on safety, with experience implementing and monitoring safety protocols specific to grading and excavation.

Project Management: Ability to manage multiple grading projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

Communication Skills: Excellent ability to communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and project managers.

Physical Stamina: Ability to handle the physical demands of mass grading work, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Education: Minimum high school diploma (advanced certifications or relevant experience ).

Certifications: Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and construction best practices.
