Class 2 Driver

Job Description

At Blue Arrow we are looking for HGV Drivers on a temporary basis for client busy periods as well as sickness and holiday cover.

Dayshift, Backshift and nightshift work will be available.

Opportunities for ongoing work are available for the right candidates as we get closer to busier periods for specific clients.

Pay rates are as follows:

Dayshift - £12.00ph

Nightshift - £13.25ph

Weekend enhancements available which vary depending on contract.

Night out allowance - £22 -30 per night

We have clients based in the following locations:

* North Tyneside
* Gateshead
* South Tyneside
* Durham
* County Durham/Teesside
* North Yorkshire

Start times vary from client to client but are between 05:00 - 08:00AM for day work and 16:00 - 21:00 for night work.

Work includes local business to business/ multidrop deliveries, day trunking work, night pallet network trunks, night hub trunking, shunting and tramping (this may be with a second man).

Availability of work runs Monday - Sunday depending on which of the above work type you are interested in.

Main Duties/Responsibilities

As a LGV Category C+E Driver you will:

* Complete pre departure vehicle checks
* Transport goods between planned sites and drops
* Complete paperwork and follow compliance
* Adhere to tachograph and working times rules

Qualifications

In order to process your application, you must have the following:

* HGV Class 1 entitlement
* CPC
* Digi tacho card

We cannot accept more than 6 points or DR on a licence.

Additionally we are looking for drivers with 6 months + experience to meet our clients expectations.
