Job Summary: As a Clinical Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in the design, execution, and management of clinical trials focused on respiratory diseases. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive the development of novel therapeutics, contributing to our mission of revolutionizing respiratory disease treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Trial Design and Strategy:

  • Lead the development of clinical trial protocols, including study objectives, design, and endpoints.
  • Collaborate with the research and development team to translate scientific discoveries into actionable clinical trial plans.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in respiratory disease research and clinical trial design.

Patient Recruitment and Engagement:

  • Work with clinical operations to ensure efficient patient recruitment and retention.
  • Establish strong relationships with key opinion leaders and medical centres to facilitate patient enrolment
  • Provide medical expertise to address patient inquiries and concerns during the trial.

Data Analysis and Interpretation:

  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of clinical trial data.
  • Collaborate with biostatisticians and data scientists to draw meaningful insights and conclusions from trial results.
  • Contribute to the development of regulatory submissions and publications.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory guidelines and standards, including FDA and EMA regulations.
  • Support regulatory affairs in the preparation of regulatory submissions and interactions with regulatory agencies.

Medical/Safety Monitoring:

  • Monitor patient safety throughout the clinical trial process.
  • Evaluate adverse events, provide medical assessments, and implement safety measures as needed.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including preclinical research, translational medicine, and commercial teams.
  • Provide medical expertise and insights to inform drug development strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) degree with board certification in a relevant medical specialty.
  • Substantial experience in clinical research and a deep understanding of respiratory diseases.
  • Prior experience in designing and managing clinical trials, including protocol development.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and experience interacting with regulatory agencies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Commitment to patient safety and ethical conduct in research.
