Clinical Vascular Scientist

Job Description

This is a full-time role as a Lead Of Managed Services (Accredited Clinical Vascular Scientist). The role is to deliver all managed services, and it requires an approach to maximising the value to patients and other services within the business remit whilst delivering them as cost-effectively as possible.


To deliver this with high levels of patient & customer satisfaction in a cost-effective manner requires a drive for excellent customer service, strong leadership skills, commercial awareness, and experience in aligning with the whole business’ objectives.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


Service Delivery Management

  • Lead, manage, hire and train all staff.
  • Positively seek improvements to practice and service development and constructively challenge poor practices or behaviour.
  • Support/lead on the delivery of quality, service improvement and efficiency initiatives.
  • Ensure the site meets standards and regulations to comply with the Care Standards and other relevant legislation.
  • Develop service plans and reports for submission.
  • Prepare the clinical statistics and reports for quarterly meetings.


Commercial Management

  • Lead and support the monitoring of the clinical services strategy.
  • Foster and develop a culture within clinical services that values continuing professional development and strives for excellence in the delivery of patient care.
  • Ensure the site has the appropriate equipment and facilities to provide care for Patients.
  • Maintain own knowledge of life care and professional standards.
  • Ensure that all professionally registered clinical staff meet statutory professional requirements.
  • Have overall responsibility for the clinical workload in all settings where the site provides care and support.


Create Cost-Effective Systems

  • Ensure operational processes are efficient and cost-effective.
  • As a management team member, ensure financial budgets and controls are managed.
  • Work with the Finance Director to create processes for analysing service delivery costs on a per-customer basis.
  • Review clinical services regularly and manage change to ensure excellent quality of care while considering budgetary restrictions.


Partnership and communication

  • Collaborate with the Professional Services Team to coordinate service commencement.
  • Contribute to wider Operations Leadership.
  • Participate and network with other organisations or groups who provide health and social care within the locality.
  • Working closely with internal support teams to manage high-priority incidents through to resolution.
  • Manage high-priority communication bulletins to customers and internal stakeholders.


Experience & Skills

  • Three years of Accreditation is required as a Clinical Vascular Scientist.
  • Aspires to manage a site.
  • Experience working in a customer-facing decision-making role.
  • Effective collaboration within a wider organisation and with the board and senior leadership team.
  • Experience in decision-making within the context of maximising the profitability of the department.
  • Good reporting and problem-solving skills to identify problems and present service status to business leaders with appropriate insights.
  • Work well as part of a team, provide support to colleagues and demonstrate empathy across other functions.
