CNC Machinery Field Service Technician

Ellis Machinery & Equipment sells and services CNC Machine Tools. Currently we are looking to bring on a CNC Machinery Service Technician to join our team!

In this role, you would be the point person for any machine repairs, installation of new machines as well as preventative maintenance. This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined enjoys working with their hands and likes being onsite with customers. You'll be able to work both independently, and as part of a team environment. If you enjoy working with machinery and solving problems, this could be the perfect job for you!

Home Base: Fife, WA

Schedule: Full time. Varies from day to day but typically starting around 6:00 am.

Pay: upwards from $34/hr DOE

As a CNC Machinery Technician, here are some typical duties:

  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repairs CNC Machinery.
  • Repairs mechanical components including bearings, drive belts, ball screws and spindles
  • Identify potential issues with machinery and equipment.
  • Complete reports, recommendations and all documentation
  • Travel to customer sites/facilities in the Pacific Northwest primarily along the I5 corridor.
  • Conduct on-site training and technical support for customers
  • Communicate effectively with management, employees and vendors
  • Performs duties with a sense of urgency and focus on safety

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

  • Experience in manufacturing environments
  • CNC Machinery maintenance experience .
  • Excellent knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical control systems
  • Excellent Communicator
  • Enjoys troubleshooting
  • Prefers going to different customer locations each day.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Their own reliable transportation
  • Positive attitude
  • Enjoys hands on work which requires getting dirty
  • Skill with hand and power tools

Certifications or License:

  • Valid WA Drivers License
  • High School Diploma or GED

Experience:

  • work requiring mechanical ability: 2 years

Work authorization:

  • United States Passport (Required)
  • Willing to undergo background check
