Westaff is seeking CNC Manufacturing Technicians for our client in Portsmouth!

1st Shift 7AM-3:30PM Monday Friday at $20/hr

3rd Shift 10PM-6:30AM Sunday Thursday at $22/hr

Job Duties

• Properly startup and shutdown CNC equipment
• Efficiently load and unload CNC equipment with unprocessed and processed parts
• Diligently monitor machine performance, performance basic troubleshooting activities and escalate issues through chain of command
• Manually deburr parts and manually assemble aluminum frames with fixtures and screw guns ? Perform timely basic daily and weekly preventive maintenance on the machines
• Maintain a clean and organized workcell
• Follow all safety requirements and raise safety concerns to the Safety Committee when observed
• Follow written and oral instructions and provide process feedback for continuous improvement
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1 year of manufacturing experience
• CNC experience
• Flexibility to work in different manufacturing work cells as needed
• Self motivated

Physical Requirements

• Fine and/or gross motor skills, including the ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages on a standard wheeled cart with a load capacity of up to 100lbs
• Be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to stand for duration of shift
• Close visual focus required
