Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Trainer/Instructor to join our team and deliver in-person training at our new state-of-the-art facility. The Trainer will also have the opportunity to conduct virtual training sessions for remote customers and travel to customer sites as needed for on-location training. The ideal candidate will have experience in training or teaching, a strong background in CNC machining, and expertise in CAD/CAM software. You will have access to advanced manufacturing technologies including metal 3D printing, 5-axis machining centers, and more.
As a Trainer, you will be responsible for guiding our customers through our software’s capabilities, ensuring they gain proficiency to improve their machining operations and overall productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct In-Person Training: Lead engaging, hands-on training sessions for customers on how to effectively use our CAM software.
- Offer both standardized and custom training sessions based on customer needs.
- Provide on-location or remote training sessions as required.
- Develop Training Materials: Create lesson plans, exercises, and instructional videos tailored to different skill levels, from beginners to advanced users.
- Simplify Complex Concepts: Communicate complex technical information in a clear, accessible manner. Ensure that learners can grasp challenging topics through practical demonstrations and examples.
- Assess and Adjust: Evaluate trainees’ skill levels and customize the training approach accordingly to meet diverse learning needs.
- Continuous Improvement: Collect feedback to refine and enhance training materials and content continuously.
- Stay Current: Keep up to date with software updates, industry trends, and new manufacturing technologies to maintain an effective training program.
- Produce training and instructional videos to supplement in-person curriculum.
- Travel: Travel up to 25% for on-site training and customer visits as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Must have 5+ years of experience in CAD/CAM CNC programming.
- Experience with Swiss, Mill-turn, and 5-axis machining is a plus.
- Practical knowledge of machining and fabrication processes.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with CNC machining and CAD/CAM software.
- CAD: SolidWorks .
- Additional experience with Autodesk Inventor, Solid Edge, and NX is a plus.
- CAM: SolidCAM .
- CAD: SolidWorks .
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts clearly to individuals or groups. Comfortable speaking to large audiences.
- Adaptability: Ability to adjust teaching methods to suit varying skill levels and learning styles.
- Software Proficiency: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and be willing to learn new software tools. Experience with classroom management or remote learning software is an asset.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a training or instructional role, particularly in a technical or software-related field, is strongly .
