Commercial Asset Manager

Job Description

We are working on behalf of a Local Authority in London to recruit a Commercial Asset Manager who will assist with the strategic management of the Council's commercial property portfolio.

You will be a General Practice Surveyor with experience reviewing property accounts, putting schemes in place to maximise rental income and taking action to deal with voids and debtors as necessary. You will act as informed client on rent reviews and lease renewals and you will work closely with the Income and Debt Officer to minimise rent arrears.

On a day-to-day basis you will market and let vacant units, including negotiation of terms and assessment of the suitability of prospective tenants including but not limited to proposed use and reflecting covenant strength e.g. assessment of financial accounts and trading history.

Our client is based in East London so you will need to be within reach due to the nature of this role. The initial contract will be until February 2025 with scope to extend. The day rate is £400 (inside IR35).
