Responsibilities:
- Accurately estimate the costs of construction projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and other factors.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to understand the full scope of projects.
- Conduct site visits and analyze site conditions to identify risks and challenges.
- Work closely with suppliers and contractors to negotiate pricing and contracts.
- Review civil plans, architectural plans, and specifications for bidding and project management purposes
- Prepare estimates and bid proposals
- Run project pre-construction meetings
- Be Ready to travel to jobs around Michigan.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in project management and/or construction estimating
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs.
- Proficient in using construction estimating software such as Edge or Quickbid.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in cost calculations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Professional certification (e.g., Certified Construction Estimator or software certifications) is a plus.
