We are looking for a Commercial Construction Plumbing Mechanic that will work with our plumbing foreman and individually with limited supervision. The Mechanic will work with Foreman on the installation of diverse mechanical systems. Job scopes may change daily. The commercial plumbing division works together with office staff, field employees, and will represent IT Landes to many of our general subcontractors.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED FOR THE JOB:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience specific to the commercial plumbing industry
  • Strong understanding of plumbing terms and methods
  • Ability to read, understand and work from drawings, specifications, and schematics
  • Knowledge of plumbing tools and equipment
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and work independently when needed
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand and lift heavy objects
  • Strong work ethic

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Assisting Plumbing Foreman on the installation of underground piping, water lines and miscellaneous plumbing systems in a commercial setting
  • Reading, understanding, and working off blueprints
  • Installing various types of piping including steel pipe, pex tubing, copper, soldering, threading pipe, and working with PVC
  • Work with foreman and field staff to ensure all work is completed in a quality manner and on time
  • Collaborate and assist team members to build a high level of teamwork and morale
  • Other duties as assigned
