Commercial Construction superintendent position in a fast-growing commercial construction company. Ideal candidate will have 10 years minimum experience as a superintendent in the Commercial Construction field. Must be an exceptional communicator, ability to multitask with multiple projects at a time, be an excellent time manager, be very detailed and have experience with different types of construction projects from tenant improvements to ground up builds.
Position Description & Duties
The superintendent is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, coordinating with subcontractors, ensuring safety and quality, and keeping the project on schedule and within budget.

Pre-Construction:
a. Review contract documents, project specifications, and plans
b. Coordinate with the project manager and design team for clarifications
c. Review/collaborate on the construction schedule and identify milestones
d. Assist in developing a site logistics plan
e. Ensure necessary permits and approvals have been obtained
f. Conduct pre-construction meetings with subcontractors
g. Follow & communicate safety and quality control procedures -
Site Preparation:
a. Ensure proper site access and staging areas
b. Install temporary facilities, such as site office, restrooms, and storage
c. Implement erosion and sediment control measures (If applicable)
d. Coordinate utility connections and disconnections
e. Perform site grading and excavation, if required -
Construction:
a. Coordinate daily activities with subcontractors and suppliers
b. Conduct regular site meetings and progress reviews
c. Monitor work quality and adherence to project specifications/plans
d. Resolve any onsite issues, conflicts, or discrepancies (Transmittals)
e. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols
f. Maintain daily logs and records of work completed, manpower, and equipment used.
g. Monitor material deliveries and storage
h. Track project progress and update the construction schedule
i. Facilitate inspections by local authorities and third-party consultants
j. Coordinate any required changes or revisions to the plans (Transmittals) -
Quality Control:
a. Conduct regular quality assurance inspections
b. Implement corrective actions for any non-conformance or deficiencies (Transmittals)
c. Coordinate with third-party testing agencies for quality assurance tests
d. Review and approve subcontractors' quality control plans
e. Maintain proper documentation of quality control activities -
Safety Management:
a. Enforce safety regulations and guidelines onsite
b. Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks
c. Provide safety training and for all workers
d. Ensure proper personal protective equipment (PPE) is used by all personnel
e. Investigate any accidents or incidents and implement corrective actions (Transmittals)
Substantial Completion and Closeout:
a. Coordinate punch list inspections and ensure completion of all items
b. Obtain final inspections and approvals from local authorities
c. Collect and compile as-built drawings, warranties, and maintenance manuals
d. Coordinate training for the owner's personnel on building systems and equipment
e. Conduct a final walkthrough with the owner and project team
