Electrical Helper

Job DescriptionJob Description

We are looking for motivated and dependable Electrical Helpers to join our team. In this role, you should have ample experience with installation and construction processes, as well as experience with blueprint reading, electrical schematics, conduit work, and thorough knowledge of workplace safety practices. You must be able to follow directions, climb heights, and be willing to help with any aspect of an electrical project. You will strive to provide safe electrical systems for a variety of customers. This is a direct hire with Southern Atlantic Electric Company. OPEN TO SALARY NEGOTIATIONS BASED ON SKILL SET.

Responsibilities:

• Install and repair electrical equipment and fixtures
• Install various types of raceway and cable tray systems
• Troubleshoot motor and control systems
• Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems
• Adhere to all quality and safety codes
• Support a master electrician on various electrical jobs
• Examine units for loose connections
• Drill holes for electrical wiring
• Measure and cut wires
• Help with conduit work - run and bend conduit

​​Qualifications:

• Previous experience in commercial electrical or other related fields
• Have your own hand tools and power tools
• Familiarity with Fire Alarm and Electrical Controls is
• HVAC Control experience is
• MUST pass a drug screen
• MUST have a valid driver license
• Familiarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals
• Familiarity with electrical equipment and hand tools
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Experience with reading blueprints or electrical schematics
• Construction or electrical experience a plus
• Skills with basic hand and power tools
• Physical stamina
• Reliable transportation
• Willingness to learn
