As they continue to grow, they are looking for a dedicated and skilled Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join our dynamic team.


Role Overview:

As a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator, you will play a key role in the financial management of a variety of building projects, ensuring cost-effective delivery from inception through to completion. You will be responsible for providing accurate cost estimates, managing budgets, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within financial parameters. The successful candidate will have experience in residential, commercial, and heritage building projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for building projects, including labour, materials, and overheads.
  • Monitor and control project costs, ensuring projects are delivered within budget.
  • Conduct cost planning and financial forecasting throughout the project life cycle.
  • Manage tendering processes and prepare detailed bills of quantities.
  • Provide expert advice on procurement strategies, cost-saving solutions, and risk management.
  • Assess and value completed work on-site, preparing interim payments and final accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide post-project analysis and reports, contributing to continuous improvement.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field ().
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator in residential, commercial, and heritage building sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, cost planning, and tendering procedures.
  • Proficiency in using estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Knowledge of heritage sector project requirements is a plus.
