• Assume financial ownership of bid opportunities throughout the bid lifecycle, ensuring strong gross margins and competitive pricing strategies.

• Act as a subject matter expert on pricing models and bid scoring techniques to maximise win rates.

• Analyse competitor strategies and position bids effectively to secure success.

• Oversee adherence to bid governance policies in line with company standards.

• Partner with finance teams to set appropriate target margins and achieve financial objectives.

• Support process improvements within the bid and project management frameworks.

• Present clear, concise, and insightful financial data to stakeholders.

• Mentor colleagues, enhancing business-winning capabilities across teams.

• Deliver actionable management information to support business decisions.

• Apply understanding of overhead recovery methods to support net profitability.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Qualified accountant with substantial post-qualification experience.

• Strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of pricing strategies and cost recovery models.

• Demonstrated success in achieving cost savings and margin improvements.

• Exceptional leadership and influencing capabilities.

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

• Experience in bidding for UK Government contracts (advantageous).

• Ability to work effectively across cultures and time zones (desirable).

• Knowledge of KPIs and their role in delivering meaningful management information.

• Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and manage projects under pressure.
