Commercial Gas Engineer
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Responsible for service and maintenance of commercial heating systems and building services, reactive maintenance.
* To proactively identify and undertake heating/combustion maintenance works (reactive works not yet identified by the client), To undertake heating/combustion PPM work, within set time frames to ensure statutory compliance
* To undertake heating/combustion improvement work as required
* Diagnose and repair faults on systems and plant including basic electrical fault-finding
* To evaluate performance and ensure the proper servicing and maintenance of all plant room equipment
* To undertake necessary repairs/replacement of defective pumps/valves/radiators/PUs. Including draining down and refilling heating systems
* Power flushing heating systems
* Maintain stock control system as directed
* To ensure that administration requirements are actioned on time and all necessary documents/records/gas certificates are completed and sent to the office as required
* Be part of a OOH call out rota, attend emergency mechanical repair work
* Escalate issues to Supervisor and Contract Manager immediately
Person Specification
Experience
* 3-5 Years of industry experience
* Experience of working within the Social Housing sector on gas/renewable maintenance contracts.
* Have domestic ACS qualifications, CCN1, CPA1, CKR1, HTR1,CENWAT Have Commercial ACS qualifications, COCN1, ICPN1, CIGA1, TPCP1A
* Unvented Hot Water
* Water Regs
* Have asbestos awareness
* Have knowledge of the Risk Assessment process
* A clean UK driving license and DBS check will be required.

* Excellent written communication and verbal skills
* Computer-literate
* Excellent planning and organisational skills
* Able to prioritise workload and use initiative at all times
* General competence in the given trade, COCN1 or CODNCO1, CIGA1, CDGA1, CORT1, ICPN1, TPCP1A or TPCPA1, NVQ 2 or equivalent.
* Unvented hot water systems would be advantageous
