Our client, a specialist heating services provider is seeking a skilled Commercial Gas Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a reputable company committed to delivering professional gas installation, maintenance, and servicing for public, domestic, and commercial clients across the UK.\n\nAbout the Role\n\nAs a Commercial Gas Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high-quality service standards the company is known for. Operating across the North of England ( (Darlington, Middlesbrough, Newcastle, Carlisle, and surrounding areas) you will carry out service, maintenance, and breakdown work on commercial gas and solid fuel heating systems, ensuring all jobs are completed efficiently and to a high standard.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nService, maintenance, and breakdown of commercial gas and solid fuel heating systems.\nConduct planned and reactive maintenance as required.\nUndertake occasional installation work.\nComplete paperwork, including technical and situational reports.\nParticipate in out-of-hours work, including overtime and 24-hour call-out rota.\nEnsure adherence to Health and Safety standards.\nIdentify and report hazards or near-miss events.\nUndertake additional maintenance works within your remit.

\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n\nTo excel in this role, you'll need:\n\nA solid background in commercial gas and heating systems.\nRelevant commercial gas qualifications (e.g., CODNCO1, COCN1, ICPN1, CIGA1, CDGA1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, CCN1, CENWAT).\nExperience with domestic gas qualifications and appliances is desirable.\nComprehensive technical skills and fault-finding experience.\nKnowledge of major manufacturers (e.g., Vaillant, Ideal, Worcester, Nu Way).\nStrong understanding of gas legislation and regulations.\nGood plumbing skills.\nFull UK driving license.\nA proactive approach to Health and Safety compliance. \n\nAdditional desirable qualifications include LPG, OFTEC, Solar/Renewable certifications, COMCAT, and BMS/Controls knowledge.\n\nWhy Join Us?\n\nOur client is dedicated to making a positive difference in the communities they serve.
