- Total Compensation $75K-$100K
- This pay range is based on experience, skill set, and geographic location.

SUMMARY
Dynamiq is actively looking for a Commercial HVAC Service Technician with 6+ years of experience to join a great team that delivers exceptional customer service. You will be drawing upon your troubleshooting experience to provide quality dedicated service to our Dynamiq clients while living out our Dynamiq Core Values.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Technician
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot/repair HVAC equipment in a timely and quality manner.
- Continued technical training (classroom, OJT and personal studies) in order to meet the responsibilities of a technician. This will be monitored and discussed during each review for improvement.
- Demonstrate capability of handling a heavy workload of calls.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism by arriving at work on time, maintaining a neat physical appearance and work vehicle in clean working order.
- Present a professional, positive and helpful attitude at all times when interacting with customers and co-workers.
- Organize all work details (work performed, service recommendations, purchase order numbers for material purchased, etc.) and complete an accurate work ticket for billing & payroll purposes.
- Submit accurate and complete Start-up Sheets in a timely manner.
- Submit accurate and complete Refrigerant Tracking Logs in a timely manner.
- Promote new business by reporting leads.
- Exercise effective communication with the customer and co-workers by using the LINC Communication Model
- Build rapport and positive working relationships with clients, vendors, and other outside contacts.
- Fully utilize technology to enhance performance (email, internet usage, VB Mobile)
- Work with other Technicians by sharing knowledge and experience. This could be of a technical nature or specific issues related to the facility.
- Demonstrate the Total Comfort Solutions values daily.
- Ability to mentor apprentice level technicians
- Service Technician will continue the on-call rotation and will be available nights and weekends on the weeks he pulls on-call. Project Technician will continue to work nights and weekends as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Two-Year Technical Degree or 4 – year apprenticeship from accredited HVAC institution with 1 to 2 years of experience, HVAC Certificate from accredited HVAC institution with 6+ years of experience, or equivalent work experience.
- Organization and time management skills.
- Problem solving skills.
- Will have available the tools necessary to accomplish the work of a Service Technician.
- Use proper tools and instruments for troubleshooting.
- Extensive knowledge of safe work habits.
- Experience with managing agreements and quoted jobs to the margins and standards at which they were sold.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to pass fit-for-duty evaluations as required for contract requirements.
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENT
Industry-specific knowledge gained from working in the field:
- Knowledge/experience using a vacuum pump and micron gauge.
- Knowledge/experience properly using a recovery machine.
- Knowledge/experience using an electronic leak detector.
- Knowledge/experience using a voltmeter, ohmmeter, and ammeter.
- Use proper refrigerant charging techniques including superheat and subcooling.
- Knowledge/experience of measuring and setting gas pressures on various types of natural gas systems.
- Experience understanding airflow standards, measurements, and instruments.
- Show evidence of proper maintenance execution on package units, split systems, air cooled chillers and cooling towers.
- Accomplish all Level of Apprentice and Junior Service Technician responsibilities and duties.
- Possess a technical knowledge and experience level to troubleshoot, repair and maintain HVAC mechanical systems unsupervised. This includes, but not limited to, roof top package units and split systems, air- and water-cooled chilled water systems (with support), exhaust fans, pumps, and motors.
