Commercial Janitorial Field Manager
A successful cleaning company is seeking a Commercial Janitorial Manager who will be directly responsible for servicing accounts and maintaining customer and team member relations. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN COMMERCIAL JANITORIAL!
Hours:
40-50 hours per week
Hourly Wage:
$50,000 - $60,000 - Annually
Qualifications
- Must be a US - Provide proof of citizenship
- A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required
- High School diploma or higher (or equivalent)
- Bi-Lingual, English - Spanish
- 3 years of progressive experience in managing commercial janitorial services
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Floor care experience -
- Ability to lead through motivation and management of team members
- Must demonstrate knowledge of basic principles of custodial maintenance
- Detail oriented
- Ability to adapt to customer requests
- Sound business judgment and decision-making processes
- Ability to conduct assessments and deliver materials to various locations
- Flexible to work evenings if needed

Responsibilities
- Willingness to learn and be part of a team
- Recruit janitorial staff
- Plan, organize, and coordinate functions of janitorial staff
- Conduct cleaning inspections with customer per site - fill out appropriate paperwork
- Order supplies for sites and ensure delivery
- Supervise and review the assigned work of janitorial staff
- Act as a liaison between the client, operations leads, and management support teams
- Promote and ensure proper employee training and compliance with company and customer safety procedures
- Administration of progressive discipline and payroll responsibilities
- Communication with clients to ensure satisfaction, identify opportunities, and provide status updates on daily operations
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive between janitorial sites and home office
- Willingness to learn and be part of a team
- Plan, organize, and coordinate functions of janitorial staff
- Order janitorial supplies per site and ensure delivery
- Communication with clients to ensure satisfaction, identify opportunities, and provide status updates on daily operations
- Supervise and review the assigned work of janitorial staff
- Act as a liaison between the client, operations leads, and management support teams
- Perform janitorial inspections per site with customer to ensure quality assurance
- Inspect janitorial sites to ensure janitorial staff is working per company standards
- Promote and ensure proper employee training and compliance with company and customer safety procedures
- Administration of progressive discipline and payroll responsibilities
Requirements:
- Sound business judgment and decision-making processes
- Ability to lead through motivation and management of team members
- Must demonstrate knowledge of basic principles of custodial maintenance
- Extremely detail-oriented
- Ability to conduct assessments and deliver materials to various locations
- Associate degree or higher (or equivalent)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of equipment and supplies that are utilized in performing assigned work
- Must demonstrate proven experience in effectively cleaning carpets and providing hard floor care maintenance
- Ability to effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks
- Ability to read and comprehend service and technical information and SDS (material safety data sheets)
- Computer program experience is required (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc
- Trainable – We can train all of the above
Physical / Mental Demands:
- Must be able to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, climb, balance, taste, and
- Capable of bending, stretching, throwing, reaching, lifting, standing
Working Conditions:
- Must be willing to work inside and out depending on the SOW for the proposed site
- Working conditions primarily involve the interior and exterior of various sites, such as office buildings, banks, churches, post-construction, etc.
- Working hours are to be scheduled as needed per management per agreement upon hire
- Driving to work sites from the home office

Position Summary: Primarily responsible for delivery of all assigned services per the specific Scope of Work for the assigned property. In addition, the Commercial Cleaning Operations Manager must oversee task completion based on upper management's direction.
