Commercial Maintenance Technician (HVAC)
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionFacilities Maintenance Technicians work within a facility management organization that provides a variety of operation and maintenance services within a 24/7/365 environment that includes non
-critical data environments and commercial office space. The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance tasks, building/equipment inspections, equipment repairs/modifications, and general labor. This position does not require any trade specific license or training.
* Must be able to work in a collaborative / safety conscious environment. 'Safety First'
* Must be able to use testing equipment such as power meters to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.
* Repair or replace receptacles, switches, breakers, ballast, light fixtures, and indoor/outdoor lighting.
* Maintain and repair plumbing systems to include water pumps, bathroom fixtures, flush valves and minor drain maintenance as needed.
* Inspect or maintain all life safety equipment, including exit signs, emergency lighting, eye wash stations, AED's, fire extinguishers and fire protection systems.
* Use hand and power tools to perform repairs and maintenance ranging from a complete overhaul to replacing defective components that meet the manufacturer's specifications.
* Execute preventive maintenance programs to protect the value and extend the life of all facility equipment to insure cost
-effective operation.

-call as needed and/or scheduled
* Education: High School Diploma or approved GED
* 5+ Years" current experience demonstrating a high mechanical aptitude acquired through previous job experience or vocational schooling.
* Must have a working knowledge of the following skills: use of hand and power tools, plumbing/pipefitting, electrical work, carpentry work, blueprint reading, mathematics, and facility equipment operation.
* Experience replacing HVAC components such as compressors, coils, controls, and heat exchangers is a plus.
* Must hold a valid state driver's license with a clean driving record, pass a criminal background check, and pass a drug screen.
