Commercial Manager

Job Description A large, leading Contractor is looking for a Commercial Manager to join their Civils Division.Minimum Requirements:•BSc Honours Quantity Surveying•PrQS registration with SACQSP•15+ years’ experience in the construction industry focusing on heavy concrete works including mining infrastructure, marine, reservoirs, power, industrial plants, petrochem plants•Highly conversant in FIDIC and NECYour key requirements will include:•All Senior QS functions as a start•Assist with all contractual/commercial documentation during tender/clarification stage. •Forms part of the tender handover team. •Manage items like cashflow, risk/opportunity, insurances on all our projects. •Sit in on all preplans - ensure all the relevant items are considered. •Move from site to site and ensure all contractual/commercial documentation is in place - on time. •Discuss strategy with director/project manager for claims/new rates etc. •Scrutinise cost reports every month before it gets included in management results. •Ensure all subbie/supplier documentation is in place. •Keep an eye on debtors/cashflow/production outputs/recons. •Check all site admin. •Prepared to work anywhere in Africa. •Mentor others. •Assist with VAT in countries outside SA.
