Main Purpose and Context of the Job.
To be the primary contact for our Foodservice and B2B relationships, managing the day-to-day and commercial strategy. Responsible for our current customer portfolio and opening new accounts within these sectors. Ensure Oscar Mayer are focused on meeting all the customer’s needs. Create customer specific plans enabling volume, revenue, and profit targets to be met.
Reporting to the Director of Sales, responsibilities will include:
- Owning the relationship with our B2B and Foodservice customers, being the primary contact for the Buyer.
- Fully understand Oscar Mayer's capabilities and commercial strategy to drive additional opportunities in line with this strategy.
- Develop internal working relationships across the functions to ensure commercial delivery.
- Be familiar with all sites capabilities and processes and be involved in developing these in line with customer needs.
- Influence cross-functionally to ensure the strategy is met.
- Manage communication internally and externally to ensure all parties are informed on relevant issues & activity.
- Be an integral part of the category process as a key part of the OM customer team.
- Manage and oversee key project critical paths to ensure they are delivered on time.
- In conjunction with NPD Team support the development pipeline through costings and commercial submissions.
- Manage internal and external requirements for product tenders on time and in full.
- Ensure that trading terms are in place with the support of the Director of Sales.
- Collate & analyse key commercial information and key measures needed to complete financial proposals.
- Accurately forecast customer demand ensuring capacity is available to meet customer needs.
- Working cross functionally to manage category cost out projects to unlock value end to end.
- Report regularly and clearly to the Director of Sales on performance and potential.
Required skills/experience:
- A top-class commercial operative with a demonstrable passion for sales.
- 3-5 years commercial experience in a customer facing/account management role.
- Experience managing UK Foodservice & B2B relationships and business plans ideally in chilled food.
- Experience of handling commercial negotiations & CPI recovery.
- Ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally.
- Exposure to category management and consumer insight.
- A natural relationship builder with great interpersonal skills.
- Highly motivated, energetic, and engaging at all levels.
- Resilient and comfortable working in a fast moving and agile environment.
- Highly numerate, and an analytical thinker with the ability to transform data into insights.
- Highly organised and structured comfortable managing their own time and priorities.
- A team player with the ability to influence for the very best outcome.
- Extensive verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
