Commercial Manager (Contract)
A highly regulated engineering organisation is seeking a Commercial Manager to lead and oversee all contractual and commercial activities across major project portfolios.
This position would suit a commercially focused individual with significant experience managing NEC contracts within the nuclear, defence, or energy sectors. It's ideal for someone who thrives in a leadership role, with a proactive approach to stakeholder engagement, contractual negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration in high-pressure environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead commercial activities across project portfolios, ensuring compliance, value, and effective team performance.
Provide contractual guidance and manage change control, forecasting, and commercial reporting.
Support tendering activities, risk management, and subcontract negotiations.
Line manage commercial teams, delegating and developing talent appropriately.
Act as the key commercial interface with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment.Requirements
Proven experience in Senior Commercial position with Management / Leadership skills
Experience with NEC Contracts
Significant contract review and negotiation skills
Eligibility for SC Clearance (British or 5 years+ in UK)
Experience in the Nuclear industry but not essentialLocation: Chorley
Contract
12-month duration
Pay: Competitive rate - LTD (subject to CEST test / IR35 determination)
Working Hours: 4 day working week! Flexible Hours & Hybrid.
