Job Title: Commercial Plumbing/HVAC Preconstruction Manager

Location: Orange County, CA

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Plumbing/HVAC Preconstruction Manager to lead our preconstruction team. The role demands expertise in commercial mechanical design and engineering, focusing on ensuring efficient project execution and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the preconstruction team, including engineers, estimators, and designers.
• Develop and implement preconstruction strategies to optimize efficiency.
• Manage project budgets and timelines.
• Prepare competitive proposals for clients.
• Ensure mechanical plans comply with codes and specifications.
• Facilitate collaboration with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate preconstruction risks and challenges.
• Oversee subcontractors and vendors for timely material delivery.
• Deliver presentations and reports to clients and internal teams.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulations.
• Foster a positive team environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• EIT or PE license preferred.
• 5+ years in commercial plumbing and HVAC design/engineering, including 2+ years in preconstruction management.
• Experience in large, complex projects, preferably hospital OSHPD-HCAI projects.
• Proficiency in Revit MEP and similar software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Must be based in or near Orange County, CA.
