Job Summary: The Loan Portfolio Manager will oversee, and manage business loan portfolio. In this
capacity, manage all payments and accounting of business loans; track submission of financials; ensure that insurance, real estate taxes and UCC filings are current; and identify and restructure, collect and/or rehabilitate non-performing loans.
In managing the loan portfolio will assess risk and the loan loss reserve fund. This role will collaborate closely with internal team members, along with external clients including attorneys, title and insurance agents, appraisers, third party vendors.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Annual credit reviews:
o Perform annual risk rating reviews for client relationships.
o Facilitating the collection and spreading of financial statements.
o Conduct covenant testing including waiver letters and confirmation of compliance sheets.
o Analyzing collateral quality
§ Conduct site visits and document vacancy / occupancy, as well as, general property conditions via notes and photographs.
§ Ensure that insurance, real estate taxes and UCC filings are current.
o Alert supervisor and senior management to changes that may require action to ensure risk mitigation and minimize potential losses.
o Identify areas to cross sell products.
• Contact Business Members in order to:
o Gain a thorough understanding of the client’s business.
o Effectively assist in ongoing maintenance of the relationship.
o Collect Financial Information for annual reviews and line renewals.
o Set up site visits.
• Monitor / facilitate construction and general line advances within the assigned threshold
o Monitoring line usage.
• Prepare and monitor reports and ensure that the following are kept current and or addressed timely:
o Loan Payments.
o Financial Information (Tax Returns, Financial Statements, Personal Financial Statements, Rent Rolls, leases etc.).
o Insurance Renewals.
o Property Taxes.
o UCC’s.
o Annual Reviews.
o Loan Exceptions.
o Maturing Loans.
o Risk Grades.
o Site Visits.
• Preparing periodic credit file memos.
• Back up for Commercial Loan Administrator including being able to:
o Preparing loan documents.
o Book Loans on the Core System.
o Calculate Payoffs.
• Back Up Credit team on new loan requests.
• Work with and meet internal and external auditors and loan review requests and expectations.
• It is expected that the Portfolio Manager will provide competent, thorough, courteous, and efficient service to both internal and external customers with a minimal level of direction, guidance, and oversight.

Job Requirements:
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Marketing or equivalent experience.
- Two (2) years of related experience.
- Professional and polished demeanor.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task, follow through on commitments, meet deadlines and drive results.
- Experience in Credit Analysis and spreading financial statements.
- Advanced understanding of credit reports, customer prepared financial statements, and tax returns.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills: Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
- Understand and adhere to strict confidentiality rules and regulations regarding customer information.
- Ability to work effectively with limited direct supervision; superior analytical thinking.
- Ability to Communicate and handle the flow of information within the organization and with the clients as well.
- Knowledge of business lending and servicing software a plus (such as LaserPro, LoanVantage and Episys / Synergy)
- Ability to: read and interpret documents or instruments, perform highly detailed work, assist or guide problem solving, perform mathematical functions, conduct meetings and presentations, prepare written communication, perform analytical reasoning, withstand stress, handle multiple, concurrent tasks and constant interruptions. Possess excellent member contact and verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment: May lift up to 25 lbs.; Office work- must be able to use a PC and phone; hearing and sight are required to perform this job; may need to sit or stand for long periods of time in front of a computer. Must have a valid driver’s license to travel between branch locations and develop business in the community.
