Commercial Property Paralegal (EV Charging)
Job Description
Our client - A rapidly expanding company in the EV infrastructure sector, is looking for a Commercial Paralegal to assist with legal matters and transactional processes as it continues to grow its network. This position provides the chance to work in a fast-paced setting, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to drive project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate property-related agreements, including leases, underleases, easements, licenses, variations, and option agreements.
- Engage with landlords, local authorities, and energy network operators to facilitate transactions and ensure project timelines are met.
- Coordinate with external legal advisors, oversee legal workflows, and maintain compliance across projects.
- Assess and mitigate legal and financial risks associated with real estate transactions.
- Provide ongoing project updates to internal stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of legal templates, agreements, and internal policies.
- Conduct title investigations, prepare Reports on Title, and resolve title-related issues.
- Support legal aspects of infrastructure projects, particularly those involving substations and electrical networks.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: Commercial Property Paralegal role, preferably within the energy, infrastructure, or real estate sectors.
- Legal Expertise: Strong understanding of property law, contract negotiation, and transaction management.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to collaborate effectively with legal professionals, landlords, local authorities, and regulatory bodies.
- Proactive Approach: Comfortable working in a dynamic environment, managing multiple tasks, and improving processes.
- Industry Insight: Prior experience with energy distribution networks or infrastructure-related projects is an advantage.
