Texon Solar Energy LLC is a leading commercial solar energy installation company based in Houston, Texas.  We currently have projects in Texas, Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana and Michigan and will be expanding into more states in January.  We are looking for individuals interested in learning and installing green energy solar solutions on commercial projects throughout the country.  This extremely fast-growing profession ensures job stability as you learn and grow with our company.   Our typical projects range from 200kw to 5MW, and most are rooftop solar projects.  We are client-focused, and you must willing and capable of assisting our clients with a smooth and rewarding transition to solar energy.  If you are passionate about renewable energy and have a strong work ethic, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity to join our team as a Solar Installer. 

Job Description: 

As a Solar Installer, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining solar panels and related equipment at customer sites. You will work closely with a team of technicians and engineers to ensure that solar energy systems are installed and functioning properly. You will be responsible for the physical installation of solar panels, wiring, and other components, as well as troubleshooting and repairing any issues that may arise. You will be responsible for ensuring that all safety protocols are followed and that installations are completed on time and within budget.  You must be willing to travel for extended periods of time away from your home.  You can live anywhere in the continental US and we will provide transportation to our worksites, however local installers living in the Houston area is . Key Responsibilities:

• ·        Install solar panels, inverters, racking systems, and other equipment at customer sites.
• ·        Perform electrical work to connect solar panels to electrical systems.
• ·        Troubleshoot and repair any issues that may arise with solar energy systems.
• ·        Ensure that all installations are completed on time and within budget.
• ·        Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment when necessary.
• ·        Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance.
• ·        Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and management.
• ·        Continuously learn about new technologies, equipment, and techniques related to solar energy systems.

Requirements:

• ·        6+ months of Commercial Solar Installation experience
• ·        Willing to travel extensively!
• ·        Knowledge of electrical and wiring systems
• ·        Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and other technical documents
• ·        Physical ability to climb ladders and work at heights
• ·        Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• ·        Excellent communication skills
• ·        Valid driver's license, a good driving record and reliable transportation 

Working Conditions:

• ·        Work may be performed both indoors and outdoors, and may require working in extreme weather conditions
• ·        Work may involve standing, kneeling, bending, and reaching for extended periods of time
• ·        Work may involve heavy lifting and carrying of equipment and materials
• ·        Work requires travel to various job sites with a portion of out of state travel on a regular basis
• ·        Work may require flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays
• ·        Work may involve driving a company vehicle occasionally

The hourly rate for this position is $22-35+/hour for most projects, with local prevailing wage for some commercial projects. Apprenticeship positions are available.  Please note that the hourly rate will depend on your level of experience and qualifications.
