Commissioning Lead - Data Centre - Europe

One of Europe’s leading engineering contractors is actively seeking a Senior Commissioning Manager to head up one of their busiest European Divisions, initially based on a new project in Paris. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is confident managing commissioning phases on several live projects, whilst maintaining strong relationships contractors, client and senior management.



This contractor is arguably the market leader in mission critical infrastructure at present, and with an impressive pipeline of work with new and existing clients, it would be a fantastic move for someone who is career motivated and sees themselves climbing the ladder.



Salary is very much dependant on experience, but there is flexibility for high performers who have successfully delivered large mission critical projects in the past. On top of a competitive salary you will also receive flights, accommodation, travel, subsistence allowance, pension and healthcare.



Commissioning Manager Key Responsibilities:



* Overall management and responsibility of all company commissioning responsibilities on each live site in your division. This will include the setup, management of and closing out of the Commissioning plan for the project.



* Management of direct reports



* Management of the Commissioning Tagging process and procedures.



* Reporting Progress on all Commissioning activities both internally and externally.



* Chairing weekly commissioning meetings and directing weekly commissioning activities.



* Chairing daily whiteboard meetings on commissioning.



* Attending the Principal Contractor and clients weekly commissioning meetings and reporting out weekly progress.



* Development of the Project commissioning scheduled in conjunction with the project planners.



* Ensuring that all testing and commissioning workforce is tracked on the site Labour allocation Tracker sheets and issued daily.



The ideal Commissioning Manager will have:



* Degree in Engineering and at least 5 years’ experience in a commissioning manager role on large scale industrial projects.



* Extensive Commissioning knowledge of the typical Mechanical and Electrical systems associated with Data Centres.



* A thorough understanding of building regulation and European standards, codes and practices.



* Ability to thrive in a team-working environment and have strong social skills.



* Flexible to travel
