About us
Imagine The Future Consulting Ltd (ITF) was started by Mark Sathyaseelan, established in 2007; is a fast growing, dynamic and developing commissioning engineering consultancy. The last 4 years have seen exponential growth and we are now looking at building on the experiences and success we have had. We still consider ourselves as a start-up and have a start-up philosophy currently.
We work in the Data Center industry and offer commissioning services to our clients across EMEA. These include programmatic commissioning design development to physical execution as the client commissioning agents (currently operating in at least 5 countries across EMEA). We often are involved with trouble shooting existing projects and we have a number of blue chip clients.
We have developed our own in house planning software for large construction projects which can be used for both Construction and Commissioning.

In this pivotal position, you will be one of our execution planners which provides crucial support to our clients and your team members.
The ideal candidate will possess a meticulous attention to detail, is a self starter and will have a proactive approach to problem-solving. A solid background in building schedules ideally in the data center industry or other mission critical or similar services sector is highly desirable. The role requires a strong technical background in P6 and be able to manage deliverables correctly. The ideal candidate may be required to review elements of construction to ensure other stakeholders are informed of the requirements of the commissioning schedule.
Main Responsibility Overview (but not limited to):
- Act as Commissioning Planner within a technical team of Head of Planning and Commissioning Engineers
- Manage and liaise with multiple stakeholders including Client, Contractors, Vendors and Operational teams. Direct client facing.
- Produce documents or contribute to schedule narratives which details the requirements for the Commissioning schedule. Produce resource graphs for P6 data
- Produce new Commissioning schedules where required. These will predominantly be based on the system logic diagrams for sequencing (flow charts which show logic, sequence etc). Project Commissioning will be demonstrated by the Program Commissioning Manager.
- Cut in and localise commissioning schedules working with Contractors or client teams.
- Review of sites for compliance at programme level of the Commissioning schedules. Where required work with the Commissioning managers and GC to align the requirements. This may mean ‘support at GC level’
- Attend workshops virtually and onsite as required.
- Produce and implement escalation procedures, yellow, red flag etc. Record and document.
- Provide regular programme level reporting updates.
- Review Commissioning Schedules and provide updates to them.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports noting key schedule metrics.
- Actively seek out solutions to technical problems that occur at a project level.
- Attend / Chair meetings as required and take notes etc.
- Report directly into the Head of Planning and Director for all updates.
- Have a good handle on the project deliverables and scope. These will need to be tracked meticulously to ensure alignment with other stakeholders.
Locations Required:
Based in European Countries other locations - London, Germany, Netherlands and Belgium. Travel to the main office in London if required to work on assignments.
Requirements, Experience and Qualifications
- P6 Primavera training is essential
- A minimum of 5+ years of solid scheduling experience, Data Center however other industry sectors would also be considered (ideally mission critical).
- Have a strong schedule discipline background ideally in MEP services so that terminology is understood. This is not essential and CSA scheduler will also be considered. Having previous experience related to your discipline and or specific qualifications is advantageous.
- Be prepared to travel in Europe on an adhoc basis to sites and other key projects - to attend workshops or training/meetings. Majority of the time will be working from home.
- Be able to use video conferencing on a regular basis to communicate with the director and other team members / clients.
- ITF will provide onboarding and support to get fully up to speed. We will also provide the necessary technical support as required through any of the projects.
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Proven ability to work to tight deadlines whilst producing high quality project work
- Use of Google workspace, Microsoft Excel & Word
- Other schedule software - Microsoft project, Smartsheets etc
- Advantageous - Use of Macros in Excel, complicated Formulas in Excel, MySQL (not essential/hard requirement)
