Our client is a long standing and award winning manufacturer and distributor of speciality chemicals supplying into agriculture, food production, manufacturing and water treatment.

Overview:

The Compliance Manager is responsible for the authoring of SDS, chemical hazard classification, and therefore the communication of hazard data within the supply chain in accordance with CLP and REACH regulations. Additionally, they will be responsible for maintain the libraries of classification data. The Compliance Manager will monitor and inform the company of upcoming legislation. They will support other departments in the communication of hazard data within the company. They will be responsible for maintaining the libraries of ACC SDS and the supporting evidence of SDS and classification.

As part of the site Regulatory team, the Compliance Manager may support and backstop other disciplines in the team, within the realms of their skill set, capabilities and workload.

Responsibilities:

* To be the company expert on CLP (SDS & Labelling).

* Preparation of material data safety sheets using current company software

* Responsible for Product Labelling.

* Identifying the correct hazard classification of material from online databases, supplier documentation and by physical testing. Including communicating with external testing houses.

* Conduct product classification and generate/maintain SDS libraries

* Liaising with suppliers regarding their SDS should issues arise.

* Provide support on the implementation of REACH legislation and providing technical support to colleagues.

* To design and maintain company systems with regards compliance requirements.

* Keeping up to date with new legislation.

* To play a monitoring role with impending legislative developments and informing management.

* Poison Centre Notifications.

* Preparation Exposure Scenarios, SWED’s, SUMI’s, LCID’s etc.

* Support other departments with REACH, Detergent Regulations, Biocidal Products Regulations, and COMAH

* Update the classifications for products on site on site COMAH inventory.

* REACH volume analysis.

* Help with the implementation of Exposure Scenarios into onsite RMM.

* Helps others by answering questions and responding to requests.

* Provides administrative support by implementing systems, procedures, and policies; completing projects.

•Experience in using SDS authoring software including Bar tender would be advantageous
