Consents Manager - DCO Solar - London or access to Birmingham
I'm working with a pan-European IPP that specialize in the investment and development space. They are doing multiple types of projects from greenfield acquisitions, co-developments, and acquiring RtB projects.
This company are looking to take on their next key hire for their development team who would take on the companies major UK solar and BESS DCO, and be responsible for driving forward their consenting activity.
This role would see you being the go to specialist for consenting in their team and ensuring that this project is able to be built out by their highly experienced construction team, and put into long term operation.
The actual team you'd be stepping into are all coming from extensive renewables backgrounds, and have a very close culture amongst them. You'd also have 2 other DCO specialists on the legal and planning side to lean on to ensure this project goes well.
What would your role look like?:
-Managing the DCO planning process.
-Working in the consultation process with local authority and local community.
-Mapping out budgets, consultants, and legal teams required to help support you on securing the DCO.
-Working with internal grid, design, and development team.
-Throughout the pre-application stage ensuring that consultants/legals are remaining on time and budget.
-Once the DCO is submitted you will take the response through the examination phase.
-Reporting back to senior leadership about the status of the DCO.
-Handing over to the construction team.
