Job Title: Construction/Project Accountant, Direct Hire

Location: Charlotte, NC

Industry: Real Estate

Pay: $80000 - $85000 / year base salary

Key Responsibilities:

• Construction/Job Cost Accounting:
  • Prepare and manage bank draws and internal draws for projects.
  • Assist with monthly draw true-up meetings and ensure accuracy of project expenses.
  • Maintain and update workbooks for rehabilitation expense management.
• General Accounting:
  • Process all credit card expenses and travel & expense reports.
  • Reconcile mortgage payments and complete journal entries for rehab and time allocations.
  • Manage monthly HOA accounting responsibilities.
• Accounts Payable:
  • Oversee active accounts in OPS and research invoice/payment statuses.
  • Select and process Capex invoices for payment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Mathematics ().
• Must have Procore.
• 1-3 years of accounting experience, with a preference for real estate or construction experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (intermediate level).
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to interact across multiple functional teams.
• Attention to detail with the ability to maintain a broader perspective.

• Office located near several parking garages (parking not covered).
• Typical work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
