Job Title: Construction/Project Accountant, Direct Hire
Location: Charlotte, NC
Industry: Real Estate
Pay: $80000 - $85000 / year base salary
Key Responsibilities:
- Construction/Job Cost Accounting:
- Prepare and manage bank draws and internal draws for projects.
- Assist with monthly draw true-up meetings and ensure accuracy of project expenses.
- Maintain and update workbooks for rehabilitation expense management.
- General Accounting:
- Process all credit card expenses and travel & expense reports.
- Reconcile mortgage payments and complete journal entries for rehab and time allocations.
- Manage monthly HOA accounting responsibilities.
- Accounts Payable:
- Oversee active accounts in OPS and research invoice/payment statuses.
- Select and process Capex invoices for payment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Mathematics ().
- Must have Procore.
- 1-3 years of accounting experience, with a preference for real estate or construction experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (intermediate level).
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to interact across multiple functional teams.
- Attention to detail with the ability to maintain a broader perspective.

- Typical work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
