As a Construction Accountant, you will serve as an integral part of a rapidly expanding, top-tier general contracting team. This role goes beyond the traditional responsibilities of an accountant. You'll be in charge of specialized accounting that corresponds with the developmental stages of our large-scale construction projects, working directly from our Doral, Florida office. The Construction Accountant is expected to work closely with project managers, directors, and other key team members, making the role a linchpin for project success and financial transparency payment application processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Generate timely and accurate financial reports for ongoing projects.

• Payment Application Process: Manage and oversee the entire payment application workflow.

• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts related to construction projects.

• Software Proficiency: Utilize Procore and QuickBooks for financial data management and reporting.

• Communication: Clearly and effectively communicate with project team members at various stages of construction financial workflows.

• Compliance & Audit: Ensure that all financial operations comply with federal and state laws.

• Vendor Management: Maintain accounts payable/receivable and manage relations with subcontractors and suppliers.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Create projects in Procore and QuickBooks.
• Create prime contracts in Procore.
• Create the budget in Procore based on the GMP.
• Create in the prime contract the project SOV's based on the GMP.- Create the estimated in QuickBooks based on the GMP
• Create the pay applications in Excel for the owners based on the GM
• Enter the vendors invoices every month in Procore.
• Create a payment application for the owners every month in Excel (internal QuickBooks and Procore)
• For each sub, once the contract is approved in Procore, create the SOV of the
  subcontractors, create the invoices monthly, and send the invoices to ERP.
• Receive the payments from each project in QuickBooks and Prore.
• Pay the subcontractors and the vendors of each project.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in construction accounting.

• Proficiency in Procore for financials and QuickBooks.

• Deep understanding of the payment application process in construction.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
