Plexos is seeking an experienced Construction Cost Analyst to support a Wildfire Disaster Recovery program in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The role of the Construction Cost Analyst is to work closely with the Case Management Supervisor and case managers to review and analyze cost estimates for repairs, rebuilds, and restoration for disaster survivors. The Construction Cost Analyst may also coordinate volunteer labor groups to ensure the appropriate sequence of repairs. The Construction Cost Analyst is also quality control for Claims Office compensation determinations.

Responsibilities:
- Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments and agencies, and construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Collect recovery progress and construction activity data for program Return on Investment calculations.
- Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Assist with outreach to licensed contractors to provide accurate contact information and report on the availability of services.
- Coordinate with case managers and to ensure contractors perform to preset criteria, meeting all applicable local, state, and federal building codes.
- Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors, and qualified volunteer groups as applicable.
- Evaluate estimates and determinations by other agencies and their respective programs.
- Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as projects develop.
- Collaborate with supervisory staff and development team to set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures.
- Attend site visits and record information about access, drainage, topography, and availability of services such as water and electricity.
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and managerial skills.
- Existing knowledge and understanding of Disaster Case Management and coordination helpful.
- Highly motivated self-starter with ability to produce results without extensive supervision.
- Knowledge of insurance contracts and damage investigation techniques.
- Ability to work with and communicate with a wide range of people.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external customers.
- Ability to write own estimates and complete dwelling valuations.
- Previous experience providing construction cost estimates required.
- Previous experience in home construction and or major home repair/renovation strongly .
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple complex tasks.
- Ability to work weekends and/or evenings as required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suit.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cost Analyst preferably in Construction
