Our client is seeking a Construction Cost Estimator to join their esteemed construction management/cost control team in Houston, Texas. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop conceptual estimates using preliminary design documents and information.
  • Support Project Managers in reviewing contractor change proposals, material substitutions, and value engineering solutions.
  • Maintain a cost database, leveraging historical project costs for future planning and vendor identification.
  • Prepare bid packages, scope contractor bids, and ensure alignment with project specifics.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, engineers, and Local Jurisdictions to integrate project objectives, schedules, and costs.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a related field or an associate degree with relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience and 3 years in a supervisory capacity within construction.
  • Proficient in Project Management software and financial accounting systems.
  • Experience with RS Means and knowledge of Procore, Smartsheet, and MS Project is a plus.
  • Strong capabilities in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Writer, Visio, and basic Windows environment).
