Join Our Team as an Equipment Mechanic – $25-$27/hour!

Location: Barnsco Texas
Reports to: Equipment Service Manager

Are you a skilled and motivated mechanic looking to take the next step in your career? At Barnsco Texas, we’re searching for an Equipment Mechanic to help maintain and repair a wide range of medium and heavy-duty equipment. What You’ll Do:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on forklifts, tractors, trailers, and other heavy machinery
• Perform inspections and maintenance on a variety of equipment, ensuring safety and top-notch performance
• Execute repairs including engine components, fuel systems, and more, using your hands-on expertise
• Handle Preventive Maintenance (oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, etc.)
• Work closely with the Equipment Service Manager to ensure all work orders are completed accurately and efficiently
• Assist in training new employees and share your knowledge with the team
• Respond to road calls and emergency service requests as needed

What We’re Looking For:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in equipment maintenance, particularly in construction rental or similar fields
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
• Ability to read and understand schematics and troubleshoot computer-assisted issues
• Comfortable working with tools and lifting up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to operate and start machinery, climb in and out of equipment, and work in various conditions
• Valid driver’s license is a must!
