We are seeking an experienced, motivated individual to join our team as a Construction Estimator. Our company a commercial general contractor focused on commercial construction projects, so you must be familiar with a wide range of projects, cost structures, and timelines. Your job duties include surveying potential worksites; collaborating with subcontractors, vendors, and providing a comprehensive cost analysis for potential clients. Excellent communication skills are required to present your estimates to stakeholders and clients.

Construction Estimator Duties and Responsibilities

· Create comprehensive cost estimates for a wide variety of construction projects

· Survey project sites for existing conditions

· Prepare detailed take-offs including square footage, linear footage, etc. of materials

· Verify vendor and subcontractor estimates fall within the defined scope

· Maintain a data base of updated industry costs

· Send out RFP’s for pricing, descope subcontractor pricing received

Construction Estimator Requirements and Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred, but not required

· Prior experience as an estimator and general contractor

· Proficiency with cost estimating software

· Familiarity with construction practices, costs, and procedures

· Experience with vendor management, procurement, and construction management
