We are a nationwide hotel renovation company that is searching for a Construction Estimator/Bidder, to put together proposals for clients, that will operate from our office in Plano, TX.
Minimal Travel - but typically once or twice a month for 2 to 4 days per visit.

- In business for 18 years
- Has renovated over 200 hotels nationwide
- Self-performs most tasks with crews that travel from job to job nationwide
- Strong client list and we're growing the number of crews, therefore in need of expanding in-house management team
Requirements:
- At minimum 10 years construction experience, but 15-20+
- Must understand all trades very well (general construction, plumbing, electrical, hvac)
- Must be great at problem solving, as we run into issues daily that need to be solved quickly
- Should be independent and not require much hand holding
- Proficient with Outlook, Excel, Word
- Must be great at reading and understanding plans
- Must know how to do take-offs on carpet, tile, wall paper, lvt, etc...and know how to determine how much to order vs installation qty
Responsibilities:
- Put together Proposals for Clients
- Do take offs from plans
- Maintain good relationships with Project Managers and Clients
- Help to problem solve
- Assist with preparing payment applications to clients by determining percentage of tasks completed
- Logistics & Material Ordering (ordering material for the job and ordering FF&E from warehouses to be delivered as needed to job site)
- Report to ownership on a daily basis on job status
- Utilizing Calendars to set future tasks so that nothing is missed
