Construction Estimator/Sales Associate - Commercial

A commercial canopy manufacturer and installer in Duluth, Georgia is seeking a successful person to learn and perform a wide range of construction products related duties in estimating & sales.

This includes estimating, quoting, for new and existing projects with assistance in sales-related duties.

The candidates MUST be well-versed in basic construction methodologies and procedures, knowledge of basic metal fabrication is a plus, but not a requirement. The individual must be able to work with a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have superior organizational skills and an analytical mind to adapt to ever-changing schedules and priorities within our organization and with our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal team members, i.e. Sales, Marketing, CAD, Fabrication, Installation, etc. as well as external customers, general contractors, engineers, architects, owners, etc. to determine the final expectations of our products
• Determine materials required and pricing
• Manage several projects through estimating to ensure deadlines are met
• Evaluate and prepare reports including projects bidding and post-bid follow up

Requirements:

Recent graduate with a BS/BA in construction management, building science, engineering, architecture, business, or another relevant field

Basic understanding and practices of commercial construction procedures and/or product plan reading, estimating, quoting, project management, and assisting in sales

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Superior communication skills and desire to learn negotiation skills
• A team player with leadership abilities
• Good knowledge of MS Office
• Familiarity with construction software a plus
• Possess sound decision making and/or ask for help when needed
• Performance will be measured by the results attained in your assigned tasks and functions
• Knowledge of Salesforce a plus
• Must pass a background check to be eligible for this position

Compensation: Base Salary + Bonus position – Salary approximately $55,000 - $60,000 with bonus opportunity up to an additional 30% and more!
