Finance Manager

Job Summary:

The Finance Manager has oversight of financial processes.

Reports to: The Finance Manager reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· Admin (accounts)

· Admin (payroll & invoicing)

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.

· Oversees preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.

· Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.

· Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.

· Monthly reconciliation of accounts. Banking, tax related, credit cards, Union, etc.

· Oversees all payroll processes.

· Oversees tax reporting and payment.

· Oversees all tasks as related to income tax and annual accounting review.

· Oversees entering and paying bills.

· Oversees invoice creation and ensures payments are collected in a timely manner.

· Oversees the administrative responsibilities for vehicle fleet.

· Updates and Manages the Cash management report.

· Manages the IFTA process and payment of taxes.

· Manages the sales tax process and reporting.

· Acts as a liaison for Financial Institutions, the Accountant and Bonding

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.

· Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks Desktop and Online or other systems

· Proficient with AIA requirements

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, Accounting or related field, or Comparable record

· At least three years of experience required.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
