Construction Inspector

Sunland Group, Inc. is seeking a Construction Inspector for immediate placement at our field office at Austin Independent School District. The Inspector will perform technical combination inspections in three of the following disciplines: construction, electrical, mechanical and/or plumbing. They also enforce compliance with applicable codes, regulations, ordinances, and approved construction plans.

Requirements:

• Team player, excellent interpersonal skills, and a cooperative attitude
• Three years of experience in performing inspections in the above areas
• Analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to interpret and clearly explain rules and standards to the clients, contractors, and public
• Compliance with safety procedures and airport regulations
• Knowledge of equipment, maintenance, repair and testing of electrical/mechanical/plumbing systems and materials
• Responsible, ethical, and conscientious nature
• Independent thinking and decision making
• Multi-tasking
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills
