The Position:

The Jr. Project Engineer performs essential project management tasks working in conjunction with the Project Manager/Project Executive to support the overall direction and completion of a project. The ultimate goal is to ensure the smooth execution of flooring submittals and installations while maintaining high-quality standards, adhering to safety guidelines, and meeting project deadlines. In this role you will:


  • Prepare and attend interviews for potential future projects as directed by the Project Executive and Senior Management.
  • Assist in the development of detailed bid submittals based on the plans and specifications for the project in accordance with company policies, procedures and individual contract requirements.
  • Follow approved submittals carefully noting any changes needing review with the Project Executive and/or Project Manager.
  • Order materials for the project as directed by the Project Executive and/or Project Manager; note pricing deadlines for price increases and procurement delays.
  • Follow up on all rejected submittals and revise and resubmit submittals for a quick turnaround on re-submission.
  • Develop and maintain good effective working relationships with project team members including the owner, design team, general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors as necessary to facilitate the successful completion of the project.
  • Assemble closeout documents (O&M’s, warranties, coordinate attic stock quantities and location for storage,) in accordance with contract requirements.



Required Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in construction
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Desire and willingness to learn new processes
