Construction Manager

Job Title: Construction Manager

Location: Orange, TX

Duration: Approximately 8 months (with a strong possibility of extension based on project needs)

Schedule: 5/10s (Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch break)

Start Date: Tentative start on April 7, 2025



Project Details:

  • New construction project (tank build) with potential for smaller additional projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple vendors and crafts, including tank, E/I (Electrical/Instrumentation), piping, scaffolding, insulation, and electrical contractors.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between contractors and the Project Manager and keep them informed on progress and challenges.
  • Coordinate with operations for permits, deconfliction, tie-ins, and commissioning.
  • Oversee planning and scheduling, ensuring deliverables are received on time.
  • Handle change orders and manage material passes to ensure all tools and equipment are accounted for and removed from the site as needed.
  • Verify all contractors arrive on-site without badge issues and onboard new personnel effectively.
  • Communicate updates with Project Capability Manager/Scheduler.
  • Coordinate with safety personnel, conduct safety inspections/audits, and ensure adherence to site safety protocols.
  • Manage rental equipment, ensuring timely delivery and removal.
  • Maintain accurate schedules and provide updates.
  • Work closely with the operations team and vendors to ensure project success.
  • Be prepared to work both in the office and in the field as required.

Experience Required:

  • 3-5 years of experience in construction management, preferably in tank-building projects.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience managing multiple crafts, including boiler makers, scaffolders, and I&E.
  • Mechanical experience is highly .
  • Ability to coordinate with technical experts on-site.

Qualifications:

  • Site-specific training (ISTC) is required.
  • TWIC is NOT required.
  • Familiarity with construction management processes, safety protocols, and project coordination.
