TITLE: CONSTRUCTION MANAGER – LHP BRANCH
LOCATION: LIGHTHOUSE POINT, FL (OPERATING AREA: BROWARD, MIAMI-DADE, AND PALM BEACH COUNTIES)
FUNCTION: LEADERSHIP/MANAGEMENT
CLASSIFICATION: FULL TIME – EXEMPT – SALARIED
REPORTS TO: GENERAL MANAGER
POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT
A Dock Experts Construction Manager is an on-site branch-level leader who collaborates with property owners, TDX leadership and personnel (design, permitting, engineering, office), and subcontractors on pre-construction planning and logistics. Leads branch-level scheduling and logistics and a team of superintendents on daily, weekly, and project-based activities for all marine construction projects. High levels of integrity, accountability, foresight, and an unshakable ability to maintain and inspire a consistent positive, can-do attitude are necessary in upholding TDX standards while disrupting and challenging the industry status quo.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Provide pre-construction planning and direction: aid in scope-of-work identification, review plan documents with sales staff, superintendents, permitting and engineering personnel, identify and coordinate with subcontractors, provide input on bid packages
Analyze and aid in financial projections for anticipated project needs, aids in purchase planning & logistics, monitors & reconciles planned vs actual materials usage
Champion development, maintenance, training, and administration of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Loss-Control (safety) Programs, perform site audits and administer corrective action plans as necessary
Schedule and administer project meetings with superintendents and stakeholders to ensure visibility and communication of timeline expectations, and resource planning
Partner on field staffing initiatives, including identifying hiring needs, sourcing quality talent, conducting interviews, carrying out performance decisions, promotion, development, intervention, and dismissal as needed
Develop leadership potential through coaching and mentoring field personnel, assigning tasks and providing or sourcing resources appropriately aligned with desired and/or directed career growth
Productively, and respectfully resolve team conflicts/disputes as necessary
Maintain positive and professional working relationships at all times
Champion job safety and efficiency initiatives and implement proactive improvements
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
ESSENTIAL JOB, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Construction and/or 5+ years in marine construction or related field
Minimum 2 years’ experience in marine construction
Experience leading construction projects including planning, personnel & resource management
Possess a working knowledge of engineering drawings, sketches, and blueprints
Current, valid driver’s license
Reliable personal transportation
Conversational in English
Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
Ability to work a full shift in extreme heat
Ability to swim
Ability to pass a controlled substance screening
Ability to pass a background check
EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS
OSHA 10 & OSHA 30 Certified
OSHA 4-Hour Qualified Rigging & Signaling
NCCCO Certified
CPR & First Aid Certified
OUPV/Six-Pack Captain’s License
Class A CDL license
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
